Meet Treat Yo Self: Vegan Sweets with a Very Cool Story 🍭

We’ve got a new sweet addition at Lovely Things and this one comes with a very cool story. Say hello to Treat Yo Self, the Irish vegan sweet company founded and run by brothers Harry and Jack Foy! 

It all started during lockdown...

Back in mid-2020, Harry and Jack decided they wanted to do something different, learn something new and make a bit of money along the way.

Their goal? To save for a gaming PC. When my son's read their story, they absolutely loved this idea!!! What started as a little idea quickly turned into Treat Yo Self — with a helping hand from Mam and Dad, a few mentors, lots of hard work and a serious love of sweets.

The Foy family are plant-based, and they were already on the lookout for delicious vegan treats. They discovered that when it comes to vegan jellies, there’s a big difference between the really good stuff and the cheap, chewy alternatives.

And once you’ve tasted the good stuff, there is no going back, trust us!! 

Two brothers. One big sweet idea.

Harry and Jack have been involved in every part of the business, from the original concept through to creating and growing the brand. Their mission was simple: bring really good vegan sweets to Ireland, while doing it in a kind, compassionate and eco-conscious way.

We think that’s pretty lovely.

And it’s not just about the sweets. Treat Yo Self is completely vegan and cruelty-free, with the boys passionate about doing their bit for animals and the planet too.

Their approach is wonderfully simple:

There’s something particularly nice about stocking a brand that feels so personal. When we met the family, we really felt the connection to what they are doing and we loved it. 

Treat Yo Self isn’t just a sweet company, it’s a family business created by two Irish brothers who had an idea, got stuck in and built something of their own with the support of their family.

That mix of great products, Irish entrepreneurship, sustainability and a bit of fun is exactly the kind of thing we love bringing into Lovely Things. And, obviously, there’s the small matter of the sweets themselves which are absolutely fantastic!!
